COBRA and State Continuation Coverage

Some changes in employment status trigger the right of an employee and eligible dependents to continue group health insurance coverage. These changes are defined as “qualifying events” by federal law (COBRA) and state continuation law.


Both laws permit employees and eligible dependents to continue coverage under the group plan at the group premium rate for a specified period of time. Use the Enrollment Dashboard in MyPlanToolsMyPlanTools to report such qualifying events as termination of employment, retirement, death, divorce, reduction in hours and leave of absence. ​

 

Save money by using electronic invoices
Sign up to receive your premium invoices electronically in MyPlanToolsMyPlanTools. Once you've signed up to receive your premium invoice electronically, you'll have the option of paying your premium invoice online.  You can select the account you'd like to pay your premium from as well as when you'd like to pay it. 


A monthly fee will be applied to all paper premium invoices that are mailed. This fee will not apply to electronic invoices.
