Patients are more likely to follow through with colorectal cancer screening if they are involved in the decision-making process with their practitioners. This is supported by the US Preventive Services Task Force1 and has been adopted by Quartz’s Preventive Health Clinical Practice Guideline.

Effective January, 1, 2018:
For all Commercial members, colonoscopy claims submitted with a screening diagnosis anywhere on the claim will be paid as preventive by Quartz.
Claims without a screening diagnosis will apply cost sharing.
