SAUK CITY, Wisconsin – April 27, 2012 – Getting in for a mammogram is beneficial but it isn’t always high on a woman’s to-do list, but what if it’s turned into a party?
Unity Health Insurance, an affiliate of UW Health and a leader in quality customer service and wellness programs, is teaming up with UW Health’s West Clinic to hold an after-hours party for members to receive their mammogram, learn some health tips and even have a snack or two.
“Mammograms are important screenings that we tend to neglect,” said Dr. Mary Pak, medical director at Unity Health Insurance. “Women are busy and may not be able to take time out of their workday, so we created this after-hours event to encourage them to get screened in a relaxing environment.”
Unity members in need of a mammogram received an invitation to this exclusive party where they can get their personal screening; talk with experts about stress management, nutrition, heart health and fitness; enjoy light appetizers and sign up for great prizes.
“We’re the first health insurance provider in the area to offer this type of program,” said Terry Bolz, president and CEO of Unity Health Insurance. “This is another example of how we’re working together with UW Health to provide leading-edge programs and services for our members.”
