Immunizations, also called vaccines, protect against the potential development and spread of disease. Immunizations are important because they give people the ability to resist potentially deadly diseases. We have come so far that The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ranked immunizations number one on their list of the Ten Great Public Health Achievements of the 20th Century.
Information about Immunization Safety
Some parents have concerns about immunizing their child. For facts about safety concerns, refer to the CDC’s webpage Vaccine Safety Concerns. If you have any questions about immunizations and how they will affect your child, make sure to talk with your child’s primary care practitioner.
